Support the 2018 “Europe & Liberty” Seminar in Bansko, Bulgaria

IME YouCaring campaign: https://www.youcaring.com/imelibertyseminar2018

The summer seminar “Europe & Liberty”, organised by the Institute for Market Economics (IME) and Institute for Economic Studies (IES – Europe) has been hugely successful in last seven years (2011-2017).

Due to some funding issues, we invite you to support our initiative in 2018. The IME will host both a crowdfunding campaign and a direct fundraising campaign focused on IME donors and alumni of the seminar. The goal of the campaign is to fund participant costs – the seminar is completely free for those who take part in it.

The cost per participant is 190 EUR. The overall cost of the seminar is around 7 000 EUR.

You can support the initiative here: https://www.youcaring.com/imelibertyseminar2018

The seminar, as usual, will be one week long and will take place in the period between July 22nd and July 28th, 2018.  Pierre Garello (IES-Europe), Doug Rasmussen (St. John’s University), Christian Nasulea (University of Bucharest), Krassen Stanchev (IME) and Petar Ganev (IME) have already been confirmed as lecturers

The number of participants will be around 36, and the group will be diverse – at least 10 countries will be represented (as has been in last 7 years), while the Bulgarian group has always been the largest one (usually around 10 participants are from Bulgaria).

The seminar offers an interdisciplinary introduction to the tradition of classical liberal thought. Subjects to be covered include economics, history, ethics, political philosophy and law. The seminars represent a unique opportunity to boost one’s understanding of the classical liberal principles of individual rights, private property, and free markets and their applications to today’s issues.

More information can be found on the IME webpage (in Bulgarian) and the IES webpage (in English)

Petar Ganev, Senior Research Fellow at the IME is in charge of the seminar and the campaign.
